Ultra-diffuse galaxies in the perseus cluster: comparing galaxy properties with globular cluster system richness

It is clear that within the class of ultra-diffuse galaxies (UDGs) there an extreme range in richness their associated globular cluster (GC) systems. Here, we report structural properties five UDGs Perseus based on deep Subaru / Hyper Suprime-Cam imaging. Three appear GC-poor and two GC-rich. One our sample, PUDG\_R24, appears to be undergoing quenching expected fade into UDG regime next $\sim0.5$ Gyr. We target this sample with Keck Cosmic Web Imager (KCWI) spectroscopy investigate differences dark matter halos, as from differing GC content. Our measures both recessional velocities, confirming membership, stellar velocity dispersions, measure dynamical masses half-light radius. supplement data literature examine trends galaxy parameters system richness. do not find correlation between numbers phase space positioning if GC-rich environmentally quench at high redshift. have higher dispersions than average, resulting greater mass This agrees first order expectation halo UDGs.
